Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
I just got an idea on what to do for a next series of blogs.
-(Since season one of Rising Star is over...)
I'm going to explore all the Silly Songs that Veggietales has given us throughout the years! I'll start from episode one and then go from there. Each blog entry will be about a different silly song, where I'll praise or question what's on my mind when it comes to entertainment and consensus.
I've never done something like this before. So, this ought to be fun.

"Rising Star" Season Finale- Last Word on Show
Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
Now that season one of Rising Star is officially over... I now have nothing to watch on Sundays.
-Bummer.
So, what did I think of the show, as a whole?
Well, it has its ups and downs. Well, let's start with the downs.
1. More people should have gotten involved in the voting process. Here, on this show (unlike other singing competitions), we, the viewers, have the power to vote and to decide the fate of the contestants. WTH doesn't all of America take advantage of that?!
-It's like a professor giving away free donuts to a classroom of students on the first day of session, but the students hesitate on whether to get a donut or not... (True story, for me!)
2. The West Coast gets publicized as the part of America that gets the last-say... which makes the "viewers get to vote live" gimminck a little ironic.
3. I don't feel that this show was advertised enough to get people in. I mean, sure, the show has an interactive app that people can use when the show is live on air. And sure, it had some of the biggest musical icons: Josh Groban, Brad Paisley, Kesha, and Ludacris. So... what gives, America? And what gives, ABC?! And while we're on the subject, ABC has been advertising its newest shows (coming this fall), even if it means advertising them over and over in between shows. Um... why didn't they have that same bubbly energy when advertising Rising Star?
Okay, those were my bad stuff. Now, I will say what's good about the show.
1. the music- The renditions were great, as a whole. Some of them timeless, while others... not the best song choice.
2. the voting process- I had fun using the app to vote on the contestants, and on deciding their fates.
3. the creativity- The raising of the wall... makes this show even more epic.
4. the humanity- Unlike most singing competitions, this one has plenty of heart, whether you win or lose. Everyone was nice on the show, especially the contestants. There was plenty of good sportsmanship, which was something that this world needed.
Now, for who won the show... no spoiler alert. However, I will say that I already knew that that person was going to win the competition. He already had so much popularity and Youtube appearances that one would find it hard for them to lose.
-Seriously, I'm not spilling any more details, because the season finale happened last night (8/24/14).
Overall, the show was awesome. I hope to see Season 2 sometime in the future.

ABC's "The Quest" Ep. 4- How Was It?
Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
To be totally honest with you guys, I almost didn't get to see last Thursday's (8/21/14) episode of The Quest. I was super busy that day, but I prevailed.
Well, as far as the episode goes, remember on the last blog on this show that I heard someone say during the end credits last week... what was it? Oh right! The woman that was saying "Bye, bye, Bonnie." Well, that was the show's way of saying, Hey! Watch the next episode to see if Bonnie loses the next round or not, because... well, we want ratings. So, we tune in and... (SPOILER ALERT) Bonnie is still in the competition.
-Okay, Bonnie-fans. You can breathe.
-Besides, that's only one spoiler alert I'm giving you for this entry.
Well, I'm not going to be too harsh on this show just yet, because one, they're still building up plot; two, they got great cliffhangers that will keep viewers coming back for more; and three, the writing is outstanding. So, give it a few more episodes before anybody goes nitpicking.

Rising Star Semi-Finals- How Was It?
Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
Not much too say about this past Sunday (8/18/14) on Rising Star... especially when I just started school today, and have to be prepared for anything that my professors throw at me that are deemed "assignments." So, I'm going to start with the cons before going to the pros of last night.
Cons
1. Maneepat Molloy was really great on this show. It was sad to see her go. I was hoping that the West Coast would save her again.
2. Joshua Peavy was also another that I didn't want to see go.
Audrey Kate... well, good job on the West Coast save, but... I don't know. What's done is done. America has already spoken. People want to see more of you.
Pros
1. Last night felt bigger and better. The atmosphere, the music, the song choices (-pause- Kinda, sort of...)... But it was still awesome!!!
2. The music experts Brad, Kesha, and Ludacris were entertaining, especially with the wig segment.
Anyways, overall, the episode was great. However, the season finale is next week... which leads to one remaining question... WHAT AM I GOING TO WATCH SUNDAY NIGHTS WHEN RISING STAR IS OVER?! Well, in answer to that question, I think I might come across another TV obsession. Or, maybe I'll just stick to Youtube for a while longer until next season...
-BTW, will there be a second season of Rising Star?
