Today I share a story on how LarryBoy came into my life, thus making me a die-hard LarryBoy fan. This is Part 1 of my story.

WC's Top 10 Facts about "LarryBoy and the Fib from Outer Space"
Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
I know I haven't been doing reviews as much as videos and Top 10s. I'm just trying to figure out what my next review will be on.
Anyway, I wanted to bring you my Top 10 facts about LarryBoy and the Fib from Outer Space. Now, since I've done a review on this video a couple years back, I'll make the facts as short and sweet as possible. Now with that said, also... SPOILERS.
10. This movie was a sci-fi parody.
Obviously. Featuring a space alien, you can definitely tell that this is worthy of being a sci-fi flick. Consider this a cross between War of the Worlds and E.T. Then again, nothing's friendly about the alien antagonist; and we're dealing with one alien, instead of a multitude of them.
9. The release dates
The original release of this movie was on VHS in April 1997. Then in May 2004, it was given a DVD release. So far, there's no word on whether or not this movie would be given a Blu-Ray release. Then again, this movie is also available for digital download.

8. This movie was the first official LarryBoy video.
Having his start in Dave and the Giant Pickle, LarryBoy didn't get his first official video until April 1997, when the video LarryBoy and the Fib from Outer Space was released. Ever since that video came to being, it was the threshold to what would later become a franchise within a series. Two years later, it spawned sequels that would go on until The League of Incredible Vegetables... and until the birth of the Netflix series Veggietales In The House.
7. No silly song
This was also the first Veggietales video to not have a silly song. However, the show makes up for it by having a musical number sung by one of the characters in the story, as well as a music video at the end of the video. This leads me to...
6. The music video
This had to be the first Veggietales video to go as far as having a music video at the end to conclude a video. The LarryBoy music video was sung by Nicole C. Mullen, who's a Christian singer/songwriter. She's worked with other Christian artists like Michael W. Smith, Newsboys, Jaci Velasquez, and Amy Grant.
-That was just a quick bio.
5. Cameos galore!
Throughout the movie, you'll see characters from past Veggietales video. You'll see some in small scenes, as well as in more dynamic points. One example is the scene where the people of Bumblyburg are looking up at the water tower to check out the giant Fib holding Junior Asparagus captive. You'll see characters like the Peach, Mr. Nezzer, and the Scallions.
4. The pop cultural references
What's a sci-fi parody without pop culture?
There are many pop cultural references to spot. One example is Jerry the Gourd wearing Spock ears, which is an homage to Star Trek.
Another example is the Fib climbing the water tower to escape authority, which can be seen as a reference to King Kong.
One small pop cultural reference would be the scene where Larry and Alfred are sitting and playing CandyLand.
Another pop cultural reference, and the BIGGEST one, is that this is also a parody of Batman. The character and environment of LarryBoy has "Batman spoof" written all over it.
3. Revolutionary for Big Idea
The featurette on the DVD will tell you that Big Idea, at the time when LarryBoy and the Fib from Outer Space was in production, they were hiring somebody to design a car for LarryBoy.
-I forgot what the dude's name was, but...
The new-hire was given the task, at the time of his interview, to go home and design a car for LarryBoy; and if they liked the design, then he would get the job.
-Interesting way of hiring people...
2. A work-in-progress for the LarryBoy franchise
Whether you watch the featurette on the DVD or not, you can definitely tell that this movie was a work-in-progress. Sure, the animation may not have been perfect, but it was decent for its time and still is today.
But what I mean by work-in-progress, is that this movie paved the way for something bigger. It paved the way for sequels. It paved the way for creating a franchise.
After this movie came LarryBoy and the Rumor Weed especially, because in Rumor Weed, the animation is better, as well as the other technological mechanics.
-It was a good thing that Big Idea didn't see this movie as a lost cause.
1. Early concept for this video
For those of you who are familiar with Veggietales, we all know how LarryBoy got his start in the series. But what if I told you that he wasn't originally cast as the show's superhero mascot? It was actually Bob the Tomato who was supposed to be the superhero mascot.
In a "Making Of" featurette on the DVD, one of the creators Phil Vischer explained that the original concept was that Bob the Tomato would be a superhero as a parody of Batman. He would've been named "Bat-Bob"; and he would have Larry the Cucumber as a "Robin/Wonder Boy" sidekick- Bat-Bob and LarryBoy. But then, the animators decided to ditch the Bat-Bob concept, and instead see Larry as the best fit to be the show's quirky superhero mascot.

Now, I will have reviews out soon... I mean, when I can find something to review. A book review is in the works. And plus, I'm still enjoying FNaF 4. But anyway, more content to come soon.

FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S 4 Finally Out on iOS!!!
Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
And I'm happy to report that Five Nights at Freddy's 4 is now available on iOS.
-Thank God! That was a long wait!
As for game play, I've already played. I've recorded the game play on my phone. So with the footage that I have, my next video will be about FNaF 4, as well as looking back at how we got to this point in time. Why? About a year ago, I was debating on whether or not to give Five Nights at Freddy's a chance. And now, FNaF is a part of my life.
I can see my family (some people in my family) question me... like:
Girl, a year ago you were somewhat normal... and now, all you care about is this game. You have pictures of those damn characters hanging on your wall. You're constructing one of the characters with your knitting. You have one of the creepy bastards as your wallpaper on your iPad. You talk about this game on Facebook... IS IT WORTH IT, VERONICA?!
And my response is... Yeah. It is worth it. To be a part of a gaming franchise as talked about and having a lot of followers and support as this, then yes. I'm not ashamed to play the FNaF franchise.
So, yeah, I've already came to terms that FNaF is ending after FNaF 4. Scott Cawthon himself said that this was the final game in the franchise, but there's no word on what his next project is going to be on.
-We'll just have to wait and see.
Anyway, all I know is that I've played the game already.
-The game is still a learning process. (Can't say anymore; otherwise, that would spoil my next video.)
My FNaF 4 video should be out sometime this week (probably Thursday), or next week at the latest. So be sure to stay tuned, because I really want to show my appreciation for this gaming franchise.
