Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
You know... ABC has been promoting a lot of shows nowadays, right? I mean, there's Selfie, ...From Hell, Manhattan Love Story, Forever, Black-ish, How To Get Away With Murder, Cristela, and Galavant.
Okay, from what I had listed here, I'm gonna say that only half of these shows are worth my time. So, I'll go through each of these, and I'll write next to them either "must-watch" or "won't watch." However, this is all opinion-based, so feel free to watch all of these shows.
Selfie
WON'T WATCH
When I first saw the commerical to this show, I was like, "Really? They had to make a show that satirizes people that live in the social media world but can't act like a normal person in real life?" The premise seemed weird; the characters seemed like a bore; and... did I mention that premise seemed weird? Well, whether you're a big fan of selfies and wondered about its consequences or not, I'll let everyone else enjoy this show, while I just stay away.
...From Hell
MUST-WATCH
No, this show is not about monsters and demons. However, it depicts heinous acts of madness and mayhem that are deemed something straight from... well, hence the show's title.
Think of this show as a cross between the shows What Would You Do? and 20/20. Well, telling by its commericals, that's this show. And since I'm a viewer of What Would You Do? and an off-and-on viewer of 20/20 (depending on each episode's contents), I figured that this show would have me hooked.
To be fair, I'm only interested in seeing this show, because I want to know what to look out for, whether it's mean-as-hell people, freak accidents, or bad service. I tend to watch the news, so this shouldn't be any different. I mean, as a person, I have the right to know what's out there.
Besides, if you're up for a little mayhem and scandalous stuff on TV, then this show is for you... instead of watching shitty movies like The Prisoners.
Manhattan Love Story
MUST-WATCH
Normally, I tend to pass up shows or movies like this. However, this show is supposed to be a love story. So I was curious. After watching the commerical for this show, I was already wondering how this couple would meet... Will they last? Will they break up at some point? Will they set aside their differences for the sake of love?
So, to answer all my questions, I have to see this show.
Forever
MUST-WATCH
Personally, I really want to see this show. Just like with Manhattan Love Story, I was curious. I was especially curious, because I remember the commercial's tagline being along the lines of "What can you do with... forever?" (or was it "Imagine what you can with...forever?"? I don't remember all of it). Anyway, I'm curious, so I'm gonna go ahead and see this one.
Black-ish
WON'T WATCH
I'm not into comedy as much as reality TV or news shows. Well, I come across it every once in a while, but I don't feel that it's for me.
How To Get Away With Murder
WON'T WATCH
I may know the premise as much as what to expect. However, telling by the commercial, it seemed like another Castle and another Grey's Anatomy. So, enough said.
Cristela
WON'T WATCH
Just another comedy. Next.
Galavant
MUST-WATCH
Now, knowing me, I'm a sucker for fantasy. I'm especially cool with Disney movies that have musical numbers.
This show is a musical in itself. They even had Alan Menken and Glenn Slater to compose the music, which seems like the show's only advantage (so far). So, I'm looking forward to this show.
And that was the list of shows that I will and won't watch. I'm pretty sure ABC would get plenty of TV ratings this time around.

Rising Star: The Quarter-Finals... How Was It?
Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
Now, I wasn't able to give my consensus on the Quarter-Finals episode (8/10/14) of Rising Star, because I heard news that Robin Williams passed away yesterday. That must have been a shocker to everyone, especially his fans. So, I figured that I would post about Rising Star today, rather than yesterday, in respects to this unexpected passing.
Anyway, today I'm going to give my consensus on the Quarter-Finals that happened this past Sunday.
How was it? Well, I'll give you my insight.
It's best to start with the cons before going for the pros. The first half of the episode was a little concerning, because the performances at the time were... I don't know: I wasn't feeling their energy as I did in past episodes. It was obvious that it had to do with song choice. Even our experts Brad, Kesha, and Ludacris pointed out bad song choices.
However, things got a little better in the second half. The performances were not so bad.
Even Austin French was able to get the highest score of the night with his rendition of "House of the Rising Sun," which was extremely impressive.
As far as who was saved by the West Coast, I was okay with who got saved. It was either April Lockhart, Maneepat Molloy, or Shameia Crawford. Well, the West Coast had spoken: Maneepat Molloy.
Was I happy with this West-Coast? I was, for the most part. Sure, it was sad to see April Lockhart go, because I felt that she was an inspiration to people like her who have limitations or disabilities and want to make something of themselves. Also, it was sad to see Shameia Crawford go, because in the beginning of the series, she proved herself to be a powerhouse singer, along with some of the other performers. Aside from that though, Maneepat Molloy deserved a second chance in this competition, because one, her voice can capture the hearts of millions; and two, she is wickedly talent and has proved that to us over and over.
Overall, the Quarter-Finals episode wasn't so bad, but I'm still looking forward to the Semi-Finals. The Semi-Finals, from what I heard, was going to be a bigger challenge yet.

ABC's "The Quest"- Ep. 2... Was it better than the premiere episode?
Hi, I'm the Whatsoever Critic. I review just about anything.
Last night (8/7/14), I saw episode 2 of ABC's The Quest.
But now comes the big question... Was it better than the premiere episode?
Well, yes and no.
I say yes, because we get more plot within the reality-TV-competition realm. (I won't spoil the plot from this episode. Sorry.) Now they're giving more juicier material- the action, the competition, the writing, and the setup. Now this show is getting interesting, right?
Well, I also say no, because... THEY STILL DIDN'T EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE WHO GET "BANISHED'! I mean, where do they go? The person that gets eliminated only goes through some invisible portal, and they turn into smoke. However, they do add something- the part where they show you images of who got eliminated, so that the remaining players can see this, and this somehow motivates the players to work harder and do better... BUT STILL!!!! Show, don't tell!
Either way, I'm still going to tune in next week to see what happens next on The Quest.

Listen to what I had to say about Dreamworks' attempt to get Penguins of Madagascar fans ready for their anticipated movie that's supposed to come out this November.
